A 60-day voyage through Australia has been cancelled following the death of an older woman who was stranded by the vessel on a isolated tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been walking on the remote island with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the group for a pause. The vessel sailed away leaving her and came back later that day after the ship staff discovered the passenger was not present.

A major search operation located her remains the subsequent day.
